Automatic water treatment
Discover our simple and economical pool care solutions. Security also requires guaranteed water quality thanks to easy solutions such as electrolysis treatment, automatic tests, and regulators and correctors.

Automatic water treatment
Piscines Desjoyaux offers you a wide automatic treatment range.
We offer you the following very wide range of automatic treatments:
- Salt electrolysis: this works by adding a small quantity of salt to the pool water (4g/litre). The water is filtered and then treated by electrolysis, which converts the salt into a very active sterilising agent to destroy algae and bacteria, and oxidise organic residues. Despiting the combined action of pool use and the sun, the salt stays in the water and allows the disinfectant agent to be renewed indefinitely.
- The pH regulator: Checks the pH level and performs the necessary corrections.
- Chlorine, salt, and pH regulators: their job is to automatically regulate the production of salt, chlorine, and pH:
- JD Regul and JD Regul Sel: analyse the chlorine level in the pool and regulate production according to the result (JD Regul: controls a salt electrolyser or a remote dosing pump/JD Regul Sel: makes the chlorine by integrated electrolysis)
- JD Regul Sel + pH: analyses the level of chlorine and pH present in the pool, makes the chlorine by integrated electrolysis, and corrects the pH by adding pH + or pH -
- A wide choice of functions to suit your needs.
- Easy and economical pool care.
- Constant water quality for unrivaled comfort: no odour and no more red eyes.
- Easy to use and limited maintenance thanks to a high level of automation. For example, an easy-to-run self-test takes just a few seconds to check the main functions of the electrolyser,
- Possibility of controlling electrolysis according to the presence of an automatic cover to reduce chlorine production when the pool is covered.

Electrolysers:
For proper operation of the JD Sel 40, 60, 90 and 120 electrolysers, the pH of the water must be between 7 and 7.2.
Maintenance is reduced to the strict minimum; just add salt once per season.
An auto-test takes just a few seconds to easily check the main functions of the electrolyser.
The electrodes self-clean by polarity inversion. The duration is adjustable and can be adapted to the hardness of the water (TH).
JD pH:
To extend the life of your pH probe, we recommend you observe the following recommendations:
- the probe must never be left dangling in air.
- Put the probe back in its cap with KCI or pool water, at a constant temperature, protected from freezing.
- Handle the probe carefully (fragile glass ball).
- The device must be switched off when you are adding chemicals.
JD Regul, JD Regul sel and JD Regul sel +pH:
For the action of electrolysers JD Regul and JD regul sel to be effective, you must ensure that:
- The pH of your water is between 7.0 and 7.4
- The salt content is 4 g/L recommended, 3.2 g/L minimum
- The quantity of stabiliser is between 20 and 70 g/m3 maximum
- the temperature of your water must be above 15°C
Caution:
Do not switch on the electrolyser in a pool:
- If the chlorine content is above 5ppm, wait for the content to go below 5ppm before starting it up.
- If the pool has been treated with hydrogen peroxide (JD flash) or an anti-algae product, it is preferable to switch off the device.
