The renovation of a swimming pool usually occurs when one of the components of the swimming pool become defective.

Does the hydraulic circuit no longer provide good filtration in the pool?
Does the swimming pool need to be resealed?
Are the decks becoming more and more ageing and unattractive?

It is then time to consider renovating the pool.

When we talk about renovation, we immediately think of substantial work. However, some products on the pool market make it possible to get a new look without ending up with a huge construction site in the garden.

Thus the filter systems can be installed at the same point on the edge of the pool. They include the entire hydraulic circuit, the filtration pump, the projectors and the filter media and can be installed on almost any pool structure. They have the enormous advantage of not having to take over all the buried pipes around the pool in case of a leak.

These filtration units are mounted on the structure as a jumper and ensure the filtration of the pool. A minimum of work for maximum efficiency!

A waterproofing problem is also a cause for renovation. There are 2 main categories of waterproofing coatings: those that are independent of the structure such as 75/100ths and 150/100ths liners or reinforced and those that are dependent on the structure (plasters, paints and tiles).

The average lifespan of a 75/100ths thick liner is approximately 10 years (*). The reinforced liner is more resistant since it is thicker and has the advantage that it can be installed on all substrates (however, tiled pools will require levelling of missing joints and tiles and the installation of a felt pad before installation).

(*) Depending on water use and treatment.

However, it is not necessary to have a leak to change your liner. A simple desire for novelty can be the reason for replacing a liner whose aging color is no longer in fashion. The liner is the most economically interesting waterproofing coating.

In terms of aesthetics, we find the change of coping and paving. Unsealed or worn coping stones and aging paving incrusted with pollution tarnish the appearance of your pool.
In the area where the garden and the pool are living rooms in their own right just like the house, a contemporary or traditional paving revives the general brightness of your exterior.
Renovating your swimming pool in whole or in part is therefore largely feasible without having to consider an interminable construction site.

The best period for a renovation is winter since you can then enjoy your new pool and its surroundings as soon as the sunny days arrive.
